Every year thousands of holiday makers from throughout New Zealand and around the world descend upon the Abel Tasman National Park during the summer months.

For many, it is an opportunity to discover one of New Zealand's Great Walks. The Abel Tasman Coastal Track is an easy 3-5 day walk that features stunning coastal views and magnificent beaches.

Guests arriving to Awaroa Lodge can walk part of the coastal track and have their luggage brought up on the water taxi. It is the ideal place to spend the night on the second day of the walk if you are departing from Marahau.

Alternatively, there are plenty of options for day walking on the track for guests who are staying at the Lodge.
